What happens if I missed my township's property tax appeal deadline?

If you miss a deadline, that level usually closes—no extensions. If you missed the Assessor's deadline, you may still file at the Board of Review if its window is open. If you missed the Board of Review, you cannot go to PTAB for that year, because PTAB needs a Board of Review decision. You can appeal every year, not only in your reassessment year. If you missed both windows this year, a Certificate of Error can still correct a factual error or a missing exemption, and every township's windows open again next year.
